than or then

Another common error I see is confusion between when to use than and then.  We could start with boring definitions and usage rules. Than (defined here) can be used as a conjunction or preposition. Then (defined here) can be used as an adverb, noun, or adjective. If that makes your eyes glaze over though, don’t worry. We’ll skip right to the good part.
